Lucie Thomas and Thibault Zimmermann are young French artists who established the graphic design practice Zim&Zou. They specialise in hand crafted installations utilising materials such as paper, wood etc. The business is based in Nancy, a riverfront city in the north eastern French region of Meurthe-et-Moselle.
Zim&Zou were commissioned to create window displays entitled Forest Folks for a new Hermès shop on level one of the Mall of the Emirates in Dubai. They create all the elements of their installations by hand, from drawing to cutting and assembly.
The Hermès project draws from lush landscapes, botanical life and motifs found in nature, Zim&Zou create a curious imaginary world of creatures, caves and disguised homes.
