Wire-frame versions of the Range Rover Evoque Convertible.

Londoners were surprised last year when Land Rover placed a collection of full-size Range Rover Evoque Convertible wireframe sculptures in some of the iconic streets of England’s capital. The installations were displayed outside prestigious London locations including Harrods Department Store on Brompton Road, Knightsbridge and at several Mayfair addresses.

The hand-made sculptures were designed by Land Rover’s design team using sophisticated computer modelling to accurately produce the shape of the vehicle. Crafted from aluminium material and finished in a range of vibrant colours, the wireframes were intended to demonstrate the Range Rover Evoque’s transformation from coupe to convertible.

The 1:1 scale art installations include 3D wheels and front and rear seats. Six of the wireframes were produced to give the public an opportunity to consider how the Evoque Convertible presents in an urban environment.
