Stylish fit-out for a Parisian Perfumery.

by The REJIGIT Blog

Editions de Parfums Frédéric Malle is a French Perfumery located in a historic building in the Marais at rue des Francs Bourgeois in Paris.

Jakob + MacFarlane Architects designed the interior elements of this boutique perfume store. The fit-out features interlocking timber fittings which are slotted together to form sculptural shelves, tables, and display cases. The flooring, walls, and ceiling, have been finished with a mirrored surface which causes a series of reflections and creates an optical illusion that display units are levitating.

JAKOB + MACFARLANE Architects is a multidisciplinary and multicultural architecture agency founded in Paris In 1992. The principal partners are Brendan MacFarlane who hails from Christchurch, New Zealand and who combines his architectural pursuits with a teaching position at Harvard University and Dominique Jakob, a  Parisienne who also teaches at The Special School of Architecture of Paris and the Paris-Villemin School.
